This is a selection of clothes that my son has grown out of. There are one-piece playsuits, pants, shorts, shirt, hoodie, jacket and cap. They range in size from 3-6 months to about 18 months. I may add more to it if I find anything else.

SOLD - Lightbulbs & Fixtures - ¥1,000

We bought all of these fixtures and bulbs for our old apartment but our new one came with them already installed. After storing them in our closet we have finally concluded that we will never use them. Some of the light bulbs alone are worth ¥1,790~¥1,980 each.

Here's what you'll get for ¥1,000:

SOLD - Tempera Painting Supplies - ¥1,000

I took a year-long drawing and painting course and while I loved the drawing, I never really continued with the painting. So all of the following items have been used, although I only used very little of the paint. And since it is powder it is still in mint condition.

Medium Bag of Men's Clothes - ¥1,000

The Bag includes 6 or 7 dress shirts and a big, warm, fleece housecoat (dark green); a couple of t-shirts and 2 pairs of shorts (only worn once or twice). All pretty good condition.

SOLD - Thai Floor Cushions - ¥1,500 each or ¥2,000 for both

Fantastic Thai floor cushions. We bought these several years ago in Thailand and brought them back to Japan. They are great for relaxing on the floor. They are also great for kids. Our son loves to climb on them or just lie down and relax. Unfortunately they do not suit our new home. We love these cushions but it is time to say goodbye :(

Both cushions have a tall "triangle" portion with 2 bottom cushions attached that can be extended or folded under the triangle. The red/white cushion has a small tear in the seam (see photo), but it could be easily stitched up. Both are a well worn and have lost some of their stuffing. But they are wonderfully comfortable and perfect for tatami rooms or living rooms with floor seating.

Welcome Back!

As you can see by the long list below of items posted earlier today, I've been a busy bee. Yesterday, my husband and I made some major progress cleaning out our bedroom closet, a.k.a. the Black Hole, and found things that had been carefully packed when we moved 2 years ago but hadn't seen the light of day since.

We can now safely say that we will never use those light fixtures, wedding planning books, and decorative items again, no matter how beautiful or sentimental or useful they once were to us. So onto the blog and out of the house they go.

SOLD - Muji Plastic Storage Boxes - ¥500/each

These boxes are the perfect solution to storing things in those deep Japanese futon closets. They are great for storing clothes, CDs, books, sports equipment, electronics, off-season gear and anything else you want to get out of your sight. I just happen to have way too many of them. Now that I have sold of most of their contents, I am selling the boxes as well. Here's what I have:

I've had a great first week of sales here on Kichijoji 4 Sale. Almost everything has already been sold. But don't worry, I still have plenty more closets to search through for goodies for you. In the pipeline are a printer with some left over extra ink cartridges, more kids toys, and plenty of books, mainly fiction, both hardcover and paperback. SOLD - Amazonas Baby Sling - ¥500

Gently used Amazonas Baby sling. Includes instruction manual and two slings that can be worn together for extra support or separately (great for twins!). Nice, soft, stretchy, dark blue fabric. Great for young babies, especially ones that like to be held vertically. Adjustable size. My husband and I could both use this sling. Paid ¥6,000 for it new. Selling for only ¥500.

Exercise Ball - ¥500

About once a year I get the great idea to start a new exercise regime. I buy equipment, use it for about a month, then store it indefinitely. This is a purple inflatable exercise ball. It is deflated so I'm not sure of the diameter, but I think it is a standard size. ¥500.

SOLD - Various Bedding - ¥2,000

One (thin) futon (135 x 200 cm) and matching duvet, large soft blanket 140x240cm, and two pillows.
The futon is the "mattress" that goes on top of the base futon. But it is quite thin. Great for guests or short-term use.

This blog was created when I realized that the "spring cleaning" of my apartment had run into summer, and then fall.

As I continue to de-clutter and reorganize my home, I will keep adding clothes, books, furniture, and various other items I no longer need, in the hopes that someone else will have a use for them.

Most of my stuff is sorted into big bags of similar items, usually listed at ¥2,000 per bag. Thus I may offer a "Big Bag of Women's Shoes" or "Big Bag of Linens." Other, smaller items may be offered individually, and occasionally I will post something for free. If you don't see something, but think I may have it hiding in the back of a closet somewhere, feel free to email me.
